[ Socks Glue ]

So a lot of people who are into the Japanese dressing styles know that people in Japan like to wear long socks (also known as high socks). Ever wonder how they stay up and down slip down when people walk? I did a little bit of research *cough*Google*cough* and found that people use a product called "sock glue"! I searched some more and found that a few people on eBay sold an Irish version, and JList also sold sock glue as well. Too bad I'm not into buying stuff online, and I haven't found any shops that stock this elusive sock glue, even in Taiwan.

There was one forum where people were talking about substitutes for sock glue, but after flicking through pages and pages of the thread, nobody had answered my big question yet: WHAT CAN YOU USE AS A SUBSTITUTE? So I decided that very afternoon that I would run a little experiment myself.

I only had to do the "experiment" once before I found the solution~

You can use ORDINARY glue as a substitute! So I used a Bostik blue glue stick (which dries clear), and is very easy to use since it's in stick form.

This is somewhat a tutorial on how to make/use your own sock glue :D

    Hao2Use:

  1. take the cap off the glue and wind it so that the glue is around 4mms out of the container

  2. wear your sock and estimate where you want the top of it to sit on your leg, then pull the sock down 5cms below that

  3. using the glue, "draw" a line around the circumference of your thigh/calf where you want the sock to sit

  4. place the sock OVER the glue, so your sock doesn't get ruined
  5. pat sock down on glue

    and you're DONE!

    how easy was that? :3

note: the glue does NOT ruin the sock if you're careful and don't pull on the sock before the glue has dried
